At the end of August (nearly a month ago now) Travis, Claire and I decided on just a whim to take a trip to the beach. Since LA is only a 4hr drive from Vegas it was an easy trip. We ended up at Newport Beach and had a wonderful time. We stayed one night in a super cute hotel that offered all beach equipment to us for free (blankets, umbrellas, boogey boards, chairs, sand toys), they even had freshly baked warm chocolate chip cookies at 3pm. I knew we picked the right place after the cookies!!
Anyways, our hotel was just a block from the beach so we could easily walk there. Our little family had a nice relaxing short trip away from everybody in the city!

We ended up having an amazing time and I can't wait till we can go back again. Next time we are going to either bring our bikes or rent them and ride all over the place!
